Welcome to The Connect Cabin. Our goal is to provide you a space to come and enjoy God's beauty while connecting to those you love. Whether you're visiting with family, on a church weekend getaway, or together as a couple The Connect Cabin was designed with you in mind.

Guest Privacy Policy:

We respect and are committed to protecting your privacy. We may collect personally identifiable information when you make a reservation on our site. We will not sell your personally identifiable information to anyone. Registered guest who may have other guest staying or visiting them are responsible for providing driving directions and entry codes. We will not provide this information to anyone other than the person/persons listed on the reservation. We will also not confirm the names of registered guest to anyone other than the person who is listed on the reservation. The Connect Cabin reserves the rights to implement  ALL policies on our website to any booking through Airbnb. By booking through Airbnb you are also agreed to ALL policies and procedure listed on www.theconnectcabin.com.

Minimum Stays: 

We are currently accepting 1 night stay bookings via airbnb.com/h/theconnectcabin. All of our bookings are currently on Airbnb.com platform. Please visit airbnb.com/h/theconnectcabin for all your booking needs or request. 

​

One Night Stays:

From time to time an open night of 1 may exist between reservations and we make these available for stays via airbnb.com/h/theconnectcabin. Additional cleaning charges may be added to one night stays. We reserve the right to not make one night stays available based on seasonal demands.

Driving Directions:

Detailed driving directions from Clayton, OK to The Connect Cabin will be sent via text to the phone number provided on the reservation. Please print these before departing on your vacation. 

 

Check In/Out:

Check in is a self check-in procedure. There is no centralized check-in office. Your reservation will have detailed driving directions and door access codes. Please print reservation confirmation so you will have detailed driving directions. Relying on retrieval via email while in the area is not guaranteed. Please honor check-in time.  We need the full amount of time allocated to properly clean the cabin. Check-in is 4:00 PM or later on arrival day and 11:00 AM check-out (or earlier) on departure date. Checking out after 11:00 AM may be subject to additional charges. Direction on how to leave cabin are posted on the refrigerator. If the cabin is left with any type of deification and or vomit on furniture or bedding or if furniture is moved from original placement, you will be subject of excessive cleaning fees up to $200.00. If damages occur there will also be charges to cover up to the full amount of repairing damages.

Rates:

The nightly cabin rate will be listed in the reservation system on airbnb.com/h/theconnectcabin.The rate is based on number of guests the cabin will accommodate comfortably which is two persons per queen bed (1), 2 persons per king bed (1) and 1 person per full size bed and smaller (4). Please do not count children under 14 when entering number of guest in the reservation. All cabin base pricing listed is based on two adult persons age 14 or older *PER BEDROOM* occupancy. Any adult over the bedroom occupancy will be an additional charge of $25.00 per adult, per night.

Accidental Damage Protection/Cleaning Fee: 

Each reservation will incur an Accidental Damage Protection/Cleaning Fee (non-refundable after use of property) of $95.00 per reservation. This fee will cover accidental damages to property under rental agreement up to the amount of $350.00 per occurrence. This will also cover cleaning cost associated with cleaning of the property after guest stay. Any damages to the property over the $350.00 will be charged to the card on file for the reservation. Any damages to the property deemed not an accident because of disregard to the property will be charged the full amount to the credit card on file. In order to apply the Accidental Damage Protection coverage any damages done to property must be reported by phone or email prior to leaving the property. Damages not covered under Accidental Damage Protection are the breaking of hot tub lids (damages start at $500.00). Please do not allow children to stand on the hot tub or sit on the hot tub lid as they will break, smoking inside of the cabin or damages to trees to include chopping limbs for firewood or cutting down of the tree.

Indoor Fireplace: 

MUST use DuraFlame Log ONLY.

 

Firewood and Campfires: 

Firewood can be purchased in Clayton on the way up to the cabin. Firewood will be stored at the cabin for use during your stay. Please note that it is against the law to leave campfires unattended. During times high fire danger we will notify guest by signage inside of cabin of outside fire bans imposed by the issuing authority. Fire bans may be issued by local authorities and state officials at any time and  are not within our control. Please do not forage for firewood or cut trees around cabins. If trees are cut down or damaged a replacement charge will be added to your stay.

Grill:

Please use caution when grilling at the cabin. The charcoal grill provided will get very hot, especially when the cover is left closed. DO NOT LEAVE GRILL UNATTENDED WHEN GRILLING. We clean each grill after every guest but there may be grease in the bottom of the grill. Charcoal may be left over from previous guest but not provided by the cabin.

Quiet Hours:

Avoid playing excessively loud music outdoors during your stay. Please observe quiet hours from 9:00 P.M. until 7:00 A.M. During the quiet hours loud noises such as shouting, screaming, or playing loud music outside are prohibited. Excessive noise outside during quiet hours may be cause for immediate eviction from property without refund.

Restocking of Supplies: 

We supply all our guest with ample supplies of paper goods, basic cleaning items, and washing detergents. 

​

TV’s:

Prior to your arrival we inspect and turn on TV’s to ensure they are on correct settings. Cable will operated on the HDMI 1 setting. If TV settings are tampered with and TV is not working properly we will correct the settings as soon as possible.

​

Forms of Payment: 

Forms of payment accepted are a valid credit card, Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. ALL booking is done through Airbnb.com/h/theconnectcabin. Name on reservation must be the same name on the credit card making payment. No split payments between person on reservation and a third party. Payments toward reservation can be made by calling our reservation number.  

 

Payment/Deposit: 

A non-refundable deposit/credit of 50% of one night average rental rate will be charged when the reservation is made. This deposit will be applied as credit when remainder of outstanding balance is billed.  Balance of reservation will be billed 14 days prior to arrival. Acceptance of this agreement allows The Connect Cabin to bill my credit card used to make the reservation unless other arrangements have been made.

​

Cancellations:

Cancellations and date changes before your arrival may be charged the full reservation fee if we are unable to rebook the property. Cancellations or date changes must be confirmed by The Connect Cabin. Messages left on answering machines or voice mails or request on phone calls are not accepted forms of cancellation. Cancellation request and date change request must me emailed to us from a reply to the reservation confirmation or to theconnectcabin@gmail.com. Reservations cannot be canceled unless we have been notified by email.

 

Weather and Environmental Conditions:

We are not able to give refunds due to inclement weather and/or early departure. We will refund or rebook reservation if National Weather Service or State Weather Services issues advisories of all road closures that do not allow you to travel between your point of departure and our properties. Conditions of the lake and surrounding areas are not reasons for cancellations. Prescribed or controlled burns may be conducted in the area by the US Forest Service. The Connect Cabin is not able to provide refunds or cancellations due to environmental conditions from prescribed or controlled burns. You may use this to purchase travel insurance or use an insurance provider of your choice.

Items Lost or Left Behind: 

The Connect Cabin shall not be responsible for items left or lost in any cabin by guest. Personal items left behind will be mailed to customer with a minimum fee of $25.00  to cover retrieval of item and also a fee of shipping and handling charges will be added to the guest charges. Items retrieved from cabin and not claimed within 30 days of scheduled departure will be discarded.

Damages:

Damages to cabin or grounds including trees will be repaired and cost to repair and replace will be billed to the reservation. Please do not allow children to get on top of hot tub or spa covers as they will break. Replacement cost of hot tub covers is $500.00.

 

Fireworks and Loud Noises: 

Shooting off fireworks are not permitted. Loud noises such as shooting of guns and playing loud music outside are not permitted. Violation of these policies may subject property guest to immediate eviction from property without refund of reservation fees. Guest who use fireworks on property and leave trash will be charged an excessive cleaning fee.

Smoking: 

Smoking is NOT allowed. Smoking will incur a minimum $500.00 cleaning fee plus any cost associated with accommodating future guest stays in the cabin due to smoke smell. We enforce this policy strictly.

​

Trash:

Please take your trash with you. You are allowed 1 large black trash bag to be left and disposed of by our cleaning crew (there is no trash service on the mountain) Any additional garbage bags will be charged to your account. 1st bag is free, 2nd bag is an additional $25 and an additional $10 per bag that our cleaning crew has to dispose of.  Please do not clean fish on property. Do NOT burn trash on property. If trash is burned on property you will be charged a $500.00 fee.

Internet: 

Internet service is provided at no charge and The Connect Cabin is not responsible for outages or compatibility with guest computers. Guests may not use the cabin internet service in a manner that violates any local, state, federal or international law or regulation, including but not limited to fraudulent and obscene activity. Be mindful of the Internet/WiFi usage. We only get a certain amount of usage every month (welcome to seclusion) and it slows down towards the end of the month if guest have over used (go outside and enjoy what God has given you). Feel free to bring your own Hot Spot, have movies downloaded for the kids, etc...

Firearms and Airguns:

Airguns (some examples are BB guns, pellet guns, paint ball guns) and firearms are not allowed to be shot for recreational purposes on the properties. Discharge of airguns or firearms on properties can be ground for immediate eviction without refund for remainder of stay. If you checkout of property and leave a firearm you may retrieve the firearm from us on the day of your departure. Any firearm left overnight will be transferred to you via local FFL License to a FFL license of your choosing. The minimum fees are handling fees of $200.00 plus shipping and FFL Fees. Any firearm not claimed or shipped after 30 days or not picked up on day of scheduled departure scheduled departure from property will be considered abandoned property and disposed of.

 

Property Electronic Equipment:

A $100 fee will be imposed for tampering with electronic equipment that causes a service call. Do not unhook, disconnect any electronic equipment for video games or other devices. Video games may be connected to available HDMI slots only. Housekeeping will check electronics before arrival to ensure they are in working order.

Wildlife Encounters: 

Due to the location of our cabin, there is a chance guests will encounter some type of wildlife, insects or stray animals. Our cabin is professionally treated on a scheduled basis for interior pests, but due to the natural habitation of the forest, no refunds or compensation will be given for any problems resulting from pests inside or outside the cabin. Do not feed animals you may see around the cabin nor permit them to enter the cabin. Do not allow children to play with, pet or feed stray animals. We are not responsible for any wildlife or animal encounters of any kind. The Connect Cabin is not responsible for medical bills resulting from injuries resulting from encounters with wildlife or stray animals.

​

Liability:

All outdoor activities involve certain inherent risk of injury up to and including death. It is expressly understood and agreed that the owner, shall not be liable for any damages or injury to guest, guest’s guests or their families.
